F4S in Scotland We are funded in Scotland by the Scottish Government as part of their Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Strategy to better prepare young people for the world of work. We are proud to be one of the partner organisations working together with DYW to deliver the Young Person's Guarantee to ensure young people have opportunities in these challenging times. Following the success of our pilot in Stirling in 2017, we were invited to roll out our services nationally. Since then, Scottish teachers have used F4S to create more than 400 events resulting in more than 143,000 encounters with more than 500 businesses for over 43,000 pupils in Scotland. At a national level, we have grown to a 300 per 1000 student employer encounter rate meaning ever more students throughout Scotland are getting to speak to and engage with local business leaders to talk about their future career paths. This is a remarkable achievement and bodes well for the future. However, there remains a worrying degree of regional disparity. We work with the DYW Regional Groups to ensure no pupil is left behind and that no educator lacks the learning and development services available to them. We have worked with over 190 secondary and primary schools in Scotland, and we are pleased to report an upward trend in the repeat use of educators who book encounters for their pupils over our service. The last academic year was our most successful in outputs in Scotland and we look forward to continuing our services and success. All the people we had across the two schools were excellent and brought STEM and DYW alive for the pupils in an inspiring way. Shirley, Crosshill Primary and EYC and Minishant Primary We are currently looking for additional funding to further develop our services in Scotland.
